- Conspiracy....or Conspiracy Nuts?
by Mark Faulk A couple of days ago, I posted a link in my blog to a website that claims that the plane…or whatever…that hit the Pentagon on 9/11 wasn’t the hijacked Boeing 707 that government officials claim it was, and was instead possibly a smaller plane, jet, missile, or perhaps planted explosives of some type. It’s a convincing video, and one that should make everyone think, whether they buy that theory or not.
However, as is usually the case, there are two sides to this story. Ken Shade, a writer for The Faulking Truth, and someone I respect and admire, sent me this link to “the other side of the story”. It makes a compelling case for the “official version” of the Pentagon tragedy, and I would be remiss if I didn’t show our readers both sides of the issue.
Do I believe that our government involves itself in cover-ups, conspiracies, and corruption on a daily basis? Hell yes. I’ve covered the stock market scandal long enough, and researched it thoroughly enough, to see the cover-ups, conspiracies, and corruption on a first hand basis. Cover-ups exist. Conspiracies exist. Corruption not only exists, it’s the norm in our government.
I believe in questioning everything that looks suspicious in our government, because at least part of the time, there is fire to go with the smoke. Do I believe in the Pentagon Boeing 707 conspiracy? Eh….probably not. Do I think that there are serious questions surrounding 9/11? Without a doubt…questions that need to be asked, questions that need to be answered with hard evidence one way or the other, evidence that up to now has been for the most part circumstantial.
If we blindly believe everything we hear, then we are blind. If we blindly accept everything that our government tells us or tries to sell us, then we are not only blind, but we are ignorant as well. Question EVERYTHING, but then, look at the evidence on both sides, and formulate your own opinion based on the evidence that’s available. Only then can we maintain our credibility on all of the issues…only then will people see us as more than just wild-eyed, tin-foil hat conspiracy theorists.
And that’s the Faulking Truth.
